Most household and personal belongings are fine. A few things aren't. This is standard across the storage industry, not specific to HOLD:
- Perishable food
- Plants
- Flammable or combustible materials

High-value items are also capped under HOLD's liability terms: jewellery, watches and precious stones at £1,000 combined, fine art and similar items at £15,000, and electronics at £25,000. Worth checking with the team if you're storing anything close to those limits.
Contact reception. If it's your own padlock, they'll need to cut it off and you'll bring a new one to replace it. Keeping a spare key somewhere safe avoids the hassle entirely.
If a payment is missed and the account can't be contacted, the facility can eventually be compelled to sell or dispose of what's inside to recover the unpaid balance. It doesn't happen overnight, but it's worth keeping payment details up to date.
Only if an unpaid bill is sent to collections. The storage itself has no bearing on credit, it's the same as any other unpaid debt being reported once it reaches that stage.
